Service Description

Meeting Point and Time: Hotel Rancho Corcovado Lodge, 7:15 a.m. Discover the fascinating underwater world of Caño Island Biological Reserve, one of the best scuba diving destinations in Costa Rica. After an approximately 45-minute boat ride, you will enjoy two dives at some of the reserve's best dive sites, always accompanied by a certified dive guide. During the dives, you will have the opportunity to admire spectacular coral reefs, schools of tropical fish, sea turtles, rays, reef sharks, and a wide variety of marine life. Depending on the season, you may also spot dolphins and humpback whales during the boat ride. After completing the dives, you will return to Drake Bay to enjoy a delicious lunch or a picnic at San Josecito Beach. The tour includes: • Certified dive guide. • Round-trip boat transportation. • Complete scuba diving equipment. • Two scuba tanks. • Entrance fee to Caño Island Biological Reserve. • Lunch. Recommendations Please bring: • Reusable water bottle. • Swimsuit. • Towel. • Lightweight, comfortable clothing. • Water shoes. • Sunscreen (preferably reef-safe/biodegradable). • Hat or cap. • Sunglasses. • Underwater camera (optional). • Valid scuba diving certification. • Dive logbook. • Please inform us in advance if you have any allergies or medical conditions. Important Recommendation: For safety reasons, it is recommended not to travel by airplane for at least 24 hours after completing this diving tour. If you have a scheduled flight, we recommend taking this tour at least two days before your departure. Important: A valid scuba diving certification is required to participate in this tour. To help protect the marine ecosystem, touching or removing corals, shells, or any other marine organisms is strictly prohibited. It is also mandatory to follow your guide's instructions throughout the activity. Additional Information: Depending on the season, you may have the opportunity to observe dolphins, humpback whales (July–October and December–March), and seabirds during the boat ride. Estimated return time to Drake Bay: Between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation and Refund Policy - If the reservation is modified or canceled within five months of the reservation confirmation, a penalty of $20.00 per person, per tour, will apply to park admissions. - If the reservation is modified or canceled 30 days prior to the client's arrival date, a penalty of 100% of the cost of the reserved tours will be charged, without exception, during peak season. - If the reservation is modified or canceled 15 days prior to the client's arrival date, a penalty of 100% of the cost of the reserved tours will be charged, without exception, during off-peak season.
