Meeting Point and Time: Hotel Rancho Corcovado Lodge, 5:45 a.m. During approximately four hours, you will explore about 5 km (3.1 miles) of the stunning primary and secondary rainforest in the San Pedrillo sector, where the lush vegetation surrounds you in one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on Earth. The hike is of moderate difficulty and follows carefully selected trails. Accompanied by our certified guides, you will have the opportunity to discover the extraordinary biodiversity of this protected area, from towering rainforest trees to the incredible wildlife that inhabits this region of Corcovado National Park. At the end of the hike, you will enjoy a delicious picnic lunch in a beautiful natural setting, where you can relax while listening to the sound of the waves and the peaceful atmosphere of the rainforest. Round-trip transportation is provided by boat, allowing you to enjoy spectacular views of the coastline and a unique perspective of Corcovado National Park from the sea. Please bring: • Reusable water bottle. • Water shoes or closed-toe sandals for walking on the beach. If you prefer, you may also walk barefoot on the beach, always with caution. • Closed-toe hiking shoes suitable for walking in the rainforest (mandatory). • Comfortable hiking clothes. • Rain jacket or waterproof poncho in case of rain. • Sunscreen. • Insect repellent. • A photo of your passport on your mobile phone, in case the park ranger requests it at the entrance. • Please let us know in advance if you have any allergies or medical conditions that we should be aware of. Important The following items are not allowed inside Corcovado National Park: • Cigarettes or tobacco products. • Electronic cigarettes or vaping devices. • Alcoholic beverages. • Food of any kind. • Single-use plastics.
